distorted Me Where do we find Truth?

This might keep you up at night?  

The fact that the Bible explains that we will all stand before the judgement throne of Christ. (2nd Corinthians 5.10)

That sounds like an appointment to me, which means all of us should probably know what it will take to be prepared for when that goes down. And to me, it sounds like the biggest appointment we will ever have. Let me ask you, do you know how to be prepared? 

I mean, we are talking about Jesus Christ, who Christians believe IS God. If true, that sounds about as intense as anything I have ever experienced. Here it is from 2 Corinthians 5.10, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad." 

“All must appear.” Ok, we will all be there.

The Bible also says Christians are resurrected to life and non-Christians to judgement. Does that seem fair to you? It sounds like there are there are two standards here, what’s up with that? So, there is some ground to cover. My personal belief is that Christianity is the best explanation for the world and all the things God put in it. 

What is your perspective or worldview on the origin of the cosmos? 

How about the BIG existential question; What is this whole thing about anyway? 

Trust me, I have been to introduced to utter despair. I’ve been spiritually lost and caught up in the world that demands you make lots of money and have lots of stuff. When I lived in Scottsdale, I was all about that. It was a dead end.  

So much so that when I had all the world said should make me happy, I wanted to die. 

Which was very confusing. Had someone been lying to me? I was desperate to find a way out of the pit felt I was in. Is there a reason for all the suffering we go through during our lives or not? Or are we all "one and done?" 

The implications to the answer of this question is huge!

Distorted Me, what is all about? 

Uncovering distorted worldviews, false doctrine, ideologies, theologies and religions. I don’t care who you are, you have faith in something. Even the lack of faith is faith in not having faith! 

Here at Distorted ME, we are going to talk about apologetics (defending the faith) and the gospel of Jesus of Nazareth. To me apologetics is the perfect Snap-On tool to the gospel. Because someone who doesn’t know God, isn’t going to put much stock in the narrative of the Bible. I get it, I was there myself. I was the random guy, I believed that God came and created and then left it up to us. That is the definition of a deist. (Of course I didn't know what that was at the time).

Fast forward, after being “born again,” I have gone on to serve as a worship leader, bible teacher, mentor, speaker, author, Ordained Chaplain, survivor of Frank Turek's Cross-Examined Instructor Academy, apologist, and beginner of DISTORTED ME. If that sounds like bragging, I am, in the transforming nature of the gospel, because prior to being born again, none of those things could be said of me. All glory to God!
